If you believe it, you can achieve it. Chase your dreams, and never give up. This advice motivates Brooklyn Bingham, a junior at Chickasha High School. Playing softball is more than just a game, it is about “learning that you are always going to face adversity and to never give up!” she says.

Teammate Aubrey Coble showed Brooklyn how to face adversity while struggling with an injury last year. “She couldn’t be on the field but was still the biggest cheerleader in our dugout. She would have done anything to be on that field. She really inspired me. I can’t wait for her to be able to be back on the field with us,” said Brooklyn.

Brooklyn could not pick just one favorite teacher. “I have three! One is Coach McHugh. He was my coach all through my middle school journey. Everyone would always say he looked so mean but he was my favorite. How he coached and cared about his players was amazing!

“Another is Coach Cooper. She was always there for anyone who needed anything, and always someone you could talk to. I just really enjoyed how much time she put into her students. I really loved having her.

“Finaly, Coach Workman. I would like to say, she has stepped into this program wanting nothing but the best for each of us and she is teaching us lessons we will carry far beyond the softball field! No matter how much I doubt myself she is always there to remind me that I can do it,” says Brooklyn.

She is most inspired by her Meme and Papa. “They are the most down to earth people and would give the shirt off their back for anyone. They are the strongest and most hard-working people I know! I hope I am half the person they are one day!” she exclaimed.

Brooklyn thanks her parents who have been there through it all. She also wants to mention her siblings who she relies on in any situation. “They are my built in besties and I’m so happy I get to go through life with them,” she said.
