Olivia Wilson has made her final season at Chickasha High School count by leaning on confidence, family support and the friendships she has built through softball.

The senior pitcher said her parents inspire her because she wants to make them proud. That motivation has helped shape her approach both in the circle and at the plate, where she says confidence is key.

Wilson said one of the best parts of being on the team has been the friendships she has gained. She described the group as one that loves to have fun and treats one another like family, a bond that has helped make the season memorable.

On the field, Wilson’s role requires focus, especially when adversity builds. As a pitcher, she said the hardest part is staying locked in after issuing a walk. Still, she said athletics has taught her a lesson that reaches far beyond softball: nothing comes easy.

That mindset has shown up in the way she talks about her teammates, too. Wilson pointed to Brooklyn Alexander as the team’s most vocal player and Mary Dunkin as the one who keeps everyone laughing.

Off the diamond, Wilson said she enjoys spending time with friends or fishing. In school, math is her favorite subject, and Mrs. Molder stands out as her favorite teacher from any grade.

Wilson’s answer when asked about life after high school was marked “unsure,” but her comments made clear that her senior year has been shaped by more than wins and losses. It has been about growth, trust and the people around her.

For Wilson, the season has been about more than softball. It has been about learning how to compete, how to lean on teammates and how to carry those lessons into whatever comes next.
