Jett Crain is a name Chickasha fans are becoming more familiar with as his high school career continues to unfold. A junior who competes in football, track, and powerlifting, Crain embodies the kind of multi-sport dedication that defines small-town athletics. Whether he is on the field, in the weight room, or pushing himself on the track, his approach remains the same, steady effort and an unwavering belief in what hard work can produce.

“What motivates me is the grind and knowing I’m capable of doing anything as long as I work for it.”

That mindset has helped shape Crain into a reliable competitor who thrives in high-pressure moments. One of the defining highlights of his young career came during his freshman season against Madill. In a breakout performance, Crain totaled more than 120 receiving yards on just two catches, both of which resulted in touchdowns, including the game-winner. It was a moment that not only showcased his athletic ability, but also his instinct for stepping up when it matters most.

Off the field, Crain credits key influences who have helped him grow both as an athlete and a person.

“The teacher who has had the biggest impact on me is Mr. Widener because he taught me how to keep going even through the struggle and he was always there when I needed to talk to somebody.”

Crain also looks up to elite athletes as he continues developing his own game.

“My biggest role models are Ryan Williams and Sauce Gardner because I love their play styles and how hard they work and how great they are at what they do.”

He studies Gardner closely, using film as a way to sharpen his own skills in the secondary.

“My favorite person I follow is Sauce Gardner because I feel watching his tape helps me to become a better player and DB.”

That willingness to learn, combined with his commitment to improvement, defines Crain’s approach across all sports.

“What it has taken to be successful in my sports is hard work and dedication. As long as you keep going and push through the pain, you will be successful.”

For Crain, representing Chickasha means more than just wearing a uniform, it is about carrying the pride of a community that stands behind its athletes.

“It means everything to me to represent my school and community because I know win or lose, they all love Chickasha and the football team and will always support us.”
