Q&A with Chickasha’s Cooper McKinney – Presented by Bible Baptist Church

VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you compete in?

Cooper: I play baseball and I am a senior at Chickasha High School.

VYPE: What accomplishment or memory are you most proud of?

Cooper: I’m proud to have made it to the state semifinals my junior year.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that makes you a better person?

Cooper: Baseball has taught me a lot that I use in my everyday life, like mental toughness and to never give up.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?

Cooper: That would be Joseph Victery and Kyler Venable. They have impacted my baseball career and everyday life, always telling me the game is supposed to be fun. Let it be fun and don’t stress over it too much.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?

Cooper: My favorite teacher was Miranda Molder from freshman year science class. She always put a smile on my face when I walked in and always kept the class positive and fun.

VYPE: Who inspires you?

Cooper: The person who inspires me the most is Tyler Pratt. He’s hard working and always figures out a solution to everything, even through tough times he always figures out a way to get through it with a smile on his face.

VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to?

Cooper: My favorite professional athlete would be Jarren Duran. He pushes through adversity and isn’t afraid to say what he thinks.

VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?

Cooper: My all time favorite meal is definitely from J&W. The grilled fried onion burger with a large basket of fries. The best place in town.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.

Cooper: I’d like to thank my family and coaches for always supporting me no matter the circumstances.
