VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you play? Nolan: I am a junior at Chickasha High School and I play baseball.
VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport? Nolan: Being able to compete with High School teams around the state and being able to make friends along the way.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you? Nolan: Bryan Lopez has left the biggest impression on me as a teammate. He is the hardest worker I know. When he is at work whether it be a job or sport he is focused and disciplined but when he steps off that field he is happy and has a joyful spirit. His heart is also so caring for everyone.
VYPE: Who inspires you? Nolan: My dad has inspired me the most. His struggle to keep a schedule and come and watch my games whenever he had a chance while being a police officer and being gone 12 hours every night is outright inspiring to me and he has also struggled with his weight and losing over 90 pounds this year showed me the best example of perseverance.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade? Nolan: Mrs. Young from 4th grade is my favorite teacher because while she did teach us so much, she had a fun and joyful personality that was the funnest to be around. VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish. Nolan: I first want to thank you Lord in heaven for sending your only son, Jesus Christ, to die on that cross for my sins and all my glory goes to you and I also thank my parents, coaches, and friends for pushing me this far and helping me to become a better person and player.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you? Nolan: My dream summer vacation would be to a beach in Hawaii. I would take my mom Rachel, my dad Jason, my sister Jayci, and my girlfriend Emery. While being the closest people in my life they’re also the people I am the most comfortable around and they all truly care so deeply for me.
VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal? Nolan: My favorite meal is a box combo from raising canes and substitute the coleslaw with an extra sauce with a sweet tea to drink.
VYPE: Are you involved in any other activities? Nolan: I am also involved in National Honors Society, First Baptist youth ministry, JOM club, and Oklahoma Boys State.
