CHICKASHA FIGHTIN’ CHICKS
Coach: JOE MOLDER
7-4
OFFENSE
After a solid season last year, Chickasha is ready to make some noise when the playoffs roll around. Head coach Joe Molder expects his hard-working group to have another outstanding season. “We have high expectations after finishing 7-4 last season and returning multiple starters on offense and defense,” he said. “We expect to compete for a district championship and make a deep playoff run. Our kids continue to put in the extra work required to have a successful season.” Cade Rayburn (6-3, 185, Sr.) will lead the offense at quarterback. He will be joined in the backfield by a trio of running backs. Landon Bowen (6-2, 170, Sr.) and James Harrell (6-0, 160, Jr.), along with full back Logan Palesano (6-1, 190, Sr.) will work to find the open running lanes and get into open space. Wide receiver Derreck Owens-Shells (6-1, 200, Sr.) is going to be a threat on the outside. Anchoring the offensive line will be Cecil Robinson (6-7, 300, Sr.).
DEFENSE
The Chickasha defense will be led by a host of linebackers. Kaden Franklin (6-0, 200, Sr.), Tyren Alexander (6-1, 175, Jr.), Justin Cordova (6-1, 180, Jr.), Owens-Shells, and Palesano have all worked hard this offseason and are ready to make a major impact on the field. Cornerback Keyton McPhearson (5-9, 160, Sr.) will patrol the secondary and work to keep the opponent’s big plays to a minimum. Assistant coaches on Molder’s staff will be JT Cobble, Chase Rodgers, Talon Satepauhoodle, JW Morrow, Dominic Neff, Chris Peschl, Sam Rayburn, and Grahme Croslin.
